Who is an Ideal Candidate for a Facial Treatment?

Facial treatments are minimally invasive and proven safe for most people. When you visit Seattle Beauty, you can expect a thorough consultation and an assessment of your complexion and skin. We are dedicated to achieving the best results, so we begin by getting to know you and your concerns, as well as your expectations. Provided that you understand how your recommended treatment works and what it can achieve, and you do not have conditions that are contraindicated, such as an active skin infection, you should be a great candidate for one of our many wonderful treatments!

What Conditions Do Your Facial Rejuvenation Treatments Address?

Dr. Des and Dr. Keri have carefully selected our menu of services to address many of the most common complaints that people have about their skin and facial appearance. Some of the frustrating problems that can be treated in as little as one visit include:

  • Worry lines
  • Descending, low-lying brows
  • Undereye bags
  • Flat cheeks
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Sagging jowls
  • Thin lips
  • Smoker’s lines
  • Downturned mouth corners
  • Aging hands
  • Sunspots and other hyperpigmentation
  • Freckles

What is the Salt Facial?

The Salt Facial is an innovative form of skin renewal therapy. It is designed to detoxify, replenish, and restore more youthful skin. These goals are achieved through three specific steps. First, the salt facial gently resurfaces your skin using pure, organic salt particles. Then, we apply aesthetic ultrasound to the treatment area to increase the circulation of vital nutrients to the skin. The final step in the SaltFacial is to apply LED Phototherapy to the treatment area to rejuvenate tissue from the inside out.

How Does Facial Rejuvenation and Therapy Work?

Each facial rejuvenation treatment works in its own unique way. Injectables, as you may know, achieve rewarding results that can last a year or two. These products work by either relaxing the muscles that are causing lines to appear or by increasing the volume of the deeper layers of the skin.

Aesthetic technologies often work by stimulating the increased production of collagen and elastin. These are vital chemicals that your body does not produce enough of as you get older. Sun exposure, age, and other factors degrade the collagen and elastin that supports the skin, so it is necessary to boost production every now and then.

How Should I Prepare for My Treatment?

Many aesthetic treatments do not require significant precautions beforehand. Your doctor may advise you to avoid products that thin the blood during the week before treatment. This will help reduce your risk of bruising. You may be encouraged to wear sunscreen daily for a few weeks before receiving an aesthetic treatment. This is a good habit to develop regardless, seeing that UV light damages the skin in several ways! If your doctor has specific recommendations based on your skin or the treatment you will have done, they will discuss them during your consultation.
